Essential tool for the professional extraction of the upper wishbone pivot pin clamping bolt from the steering knuckle clamping bore. 2 The extractor KL-0250-41 KA with its proper pressure unit and extraction device, enables the quick and professional extraction of hex clamping bolts. The extraction device is used to pull out the loosened hex clamping bolt. The tool is suitable for both right-hand and left-hand wheel suspensions. Example of use: • Mount extractor with pressure unit and fixing unit to steering knuckle. • Screw in the hex nut of the pressure unit using special socket (24mm waf) and a 1/2“ impact wrench. The hex clamping bolt is pressed out. The loosening process takes place with a loud noise. • Remove extractor. Mount extraction device to extract the loosened clamping bolt. • Screw in the hex nut of the extraction device using the special socket (24mm waf) and remove the hex clamping bolt completely. The KL-0250-43 K drill-out tool kit allows the user to professionally drill out upper strut clamping bolts as found on aluminium steering knuckles. An indispensable tool kit when clamping bolts are a tight fit or seized in place. When drilling out strut bolts on steering knuckles with low-mounted steering gear, the steering knuckle needs to be locked in fully turned position by means of the clamping device that comes with the kit. This will prevent damage to the mudguard. The use of this tool kit eliminates the need for cost-intensive replacement of the complete steering knuckle with wheel bearing unit.
