1 COMPANY PROFILE KLANN was established in Donaueschingen in 1978. We are a medium-sized, internationally operating company, based in Donaueschingen, and specialise in the development and manufacture of specialist tools for the Automotive Industry and Aftermarket. We have been partner in the GEDORE Group since 2002. At our head office in Donaueschingen, we currently employ a staff of 100 highly qualified and motivated people, including 10 apprentices. With more than 90 Patents and German Utility Models at home and abroad, GEDORE Automotive is one of the world‘s leading manufacturer of professional automotive tools. Following the brand integration into the GEDORE Group, KLANN Spezial-Werkzeugbau GmbH has become GEDORE Automotive GmbH with effect as from 1 January 2016. All premium brands and products of the GEDORE Group are now marketed under the renowned brand name GEDORE: from the core brand GEDORE, under which high-quality tools made in Germany have been offered since 1919, the specialist brands KLANN for the Automobile Industry and Aftermarket and LÖSOMAT specialised in torque wrench technology, to GEDORE Solutions, a real problem solver, dedicated to developing and manufacturing customer-specific tools. All these premium brands and products have now been consolidated into the strong GEDORE brand. With this in mind, we design and manufacture our tools with state-of-the-art technology and offer practical training courses showing the correct use of our tools in situ on the vehicle in our Training Centre. In addition to the premium brand GEDORE, carolus stands as GEDORE’s second brand for reliable professional tools in the mid-price segment also in the future. Ochsenkopf continues to be our specialist manufacturer of outstanding forestry and carpenter tools with a longstanding tradition.
