COMPRESSED AIR TECHNOLOGY Cyclone Separator / Water Separator After leaving the compressor, the compressed air contains not only water in the form of water vapor, but also water condensate droplets. These water droplets are formed during the compaction process by the decrease in the storage capacity of the air when the volume is reduced. This water normally settles in the storage tank as the compressed air settles. From there, the condensate is discharged. If there is no storage tank, a cyclone separator before the refrigeration dryer and filters is absolutely essential. How it works Integrated into our range of air filters, the new water separators combine proven centrifugal technology with a new, innovative housing design. This removes 99% of the free water in the compressed air while maintaining a continuously low differential pressure. The customised centrifugal module features unique vanes that eliminate low efficiencies and a vortex deflector that prevents carryover. This ensures a minimum operating pressure drop and ensures excellent condensate removal - even at low flow rates. Equipped with automatic float arrester as standard. As an option also possible with automatic level-controlled condensate drain AKA. Property: > Almost complete separation of water > Filtering out heavy dust and dirt particles > The separation capacity of the cyclone separators depends on the flow velocity of the air. The higher the flow velocity, the higher the separation efficiency. However, as the flow rate increases, the pressure loss in the separator also increases.
