Extensions for drive spindles are used to extend the shafts of grinding and milling tools. They enable use in hard-to-reach places and particularly deep holes. They are clamped into the collet of the machine with compressed air or electric drive or into the handpiece of the flexible shaft and must also be guided by hand. Extensions for drive spindles are an economical alternative to custom-made milling and grinding pins with long shafts. Safety instructions: Attention! When using spindle extensions, the applicable safety regulations and accident prevention regulations must be observed. Please do not clamp tools that are too large onto the extension, as they are driven by a core. The extension and the machine must be guided in a line. Levering and tilting will damage the extension. When working with long shaft lengths, it is necessary to insert the tool into the workpiece (e.g. holes, pipes, channels or grooves) before switching on the drive machine. The extension is only suitable for hand use in conjunction with suitable pneumatic or electric drives or flexible shaft handpieces for tools with standard shafts. It is inserted into the impact-free collet of the device in conjunction with a tool approved for the speed. Under no circumstances may it be clamped on the transition radius. Clamping a second extension or tools with overly long shafts is prohibited.
