Flow drilling machines Flow drilling is a manufacturing method during which a tool is pressed against a thin-walled metallic material by using relatively high rpm and axial force. During this procedure the accuring frictional heat plasticizes the material, so that the drill can be lead through the workpiece. The material is mainly flowing to the underside and is building a „bushing“, which is 3 to 5 times thicker than the original thickness of material. For flow drilling we are suggesting two machines out of our standard range of products: UNIMAX 3 series and starting from M8 the new BS 36 machine.
