SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AND FAIR Sustainability is not a trend but a commitment. That is why we are members of the SocialFair initiative, a programme dedicated to improving sustainable processes in foreign production locations and German partner businesses. The sustainable objectives of the programme are clearly defined: Transparent supply chains, safe and fair working conditions, better use of resources, fewer environmental pressures and comprehensive documentation. In order to achieve this, manufacturers and importers have to undergo a three-step process. Initially, basic data about the businesses is collected. Then, data is collected about resource usage. In the final step, potential for improvement is highlighted on the basis of the information that has been collected. On this basis, programmes can be developed that allow processes to be made more sustainable. Through our membership in the SocialFair initiative, we contribute to environmental protection and ensure better working conditions, as well as the exclusion of child and prison labour.
