Technical information for brushes For efficient and safe deployment, always select the maximum possible brush diameter that can be fitted on the drive unit. Because the circumferential speed is defined by the brush diameter, as mentioned above under working speeds, the performance of a brush can also be changed with this factor. The following table provides an overview: Remember the following before fitting a brush: • The speed of the drive shaft of your machine must not exceed the maximum safety speed of the brush. • The length of the drive shaft must fit firmly in the chuck. • Brushes with clamp shaft can easily be fitted into standard drill chucks or collet chucks. • The connecting threads of brushes have spanner flats, guaranteeing easy fitting and removal.
