“Authority made from experience“ ...based on a time travel of nearly 200 years… The “BWG bauteam” organisation refers to a long history with its roots in the „Werkzeugfabrik Deggingen“ company - a well-respected German forge. Established in 1823 in the southwest of Germany the “Werkzeugfabrik Deggingen” company was specialised on the production of tools for bricklayers and plasterers. 42 workers were engaged here in 1952. “Degginger Werkzeuge“, also known as “TURM-WERKZEUGE“ (TOWER Tools - the company’s logo showed a historic defence tower of the city of Ravensburg as a symbol for long term quality and stability together with a modern Trowel Blade, made from one piece of steel, at the background) were well respected not only in Germany. Starting from the 1960ies the Werkzeugfabrik Deggingen company was significant developed by the corporate activities of the company’s co-owner and managing director Anton Herrmann and his two partners. The well-known and still today popular trowel „Süddeutsche Gipserkelle“ (“South-German plasterer’s trowel”), also named as „Maurerkelle Degginger Form” (“Bricklayer’s trowel Degging Type“) was created here. At the end of the 1970ies Anton Herrmann left the Werkzeugfabrik Deggingen company and founded a new company, the “BWG Bauwerkzeuge u. Geräte GmbH“, also located in Deggingen. Object of the company was the organisation of a direct selling of high-quality tools for professionals from Germany and abroad to the specialised traders. The brand “bauteam Qualitätswerkzeuge“ was created at that time. After the political changes in Germany, in 1993 a further company was established in Thuringia / East Germany: “BWG bauteam Profi Produkte GmbH“. In the region of Schmalkalden - the origin of German tools industries with their roots in 14th century already - exact in the city of Steinbach-Hallenberg, this company was founded to complete and optimise processes and worked primarily as a centre of distribution. After the death of founder Anton Herrmann in 1996, his son Jörg and partner Frank Kempe successful carried on the BWG Bauteam company. Because of conceptual reasons both companies were merged in 2001 and are trading under the name “BWG bauteam Profi Produkte Vertriebs & Logistik GmbH“ since that time. During the following years the company focused more and more on development and production of own products again. So modernisation, improvement of existing tools and machineries but also innovative new product developments play a decisive role to find customer’s wishes and demands. As a owner-operated, medium-sized supplier of products and systems for the building and construction industries the Bauteam organisation is able to offer a wide range of typical and specialised tools and machineries for all fields of construction and building. Our high quality products are used in more than 20 European countries, also in Australia or the United States of America actually. Our claim as a partner of the specialised trade is to offer our customers the full range of services they need. This will be guaranteed by a quality-oriented production, an extensive overall product range (approx. 5,000 products) as well as an individual support with the best services as a system supplier in terms of cost-effectiveness and value retention.
