HELM Hardware for Folding sliding shutters General Information HELM hardware for folding sliding shutters Folding sliding shutters are specially suitable if there is not sufficient space left and right of the window. With the HELM hardware two, three or multiple-leaf installations can be planned, depending on the window width. The widths of the individual leaves should not exceed 700 mm. In case of greater leaf widths please consult our service department. The bearing load of the track is to be observed in any circumstance in case of multiple-leaf installations as the total weight of all leaves when they are open generally strains the first 200-250 mm of the track. This is why additional fixing points in the stacking region have to be created. Moreover, the folding sliding shutters, when open, have to be secured with a suitable locking device, e. g. anti-wind hook (see photo page 77).
