The unit can be easily installed and removed from a fixture in combination with other seating elements. A compact sensor checks whether a workpiece makes contact at specific positions. The system can be extended to monitor multiple positions. The information is output via an electrical signal. The signal can be transmitted both via a hard-wired connection or via radio signal.
