RUBBER MATERIALS Rubber-Steel-Seal - Profile WG Rubber-O-Rings The rubber-steel-seal, profile WG consists of a steel ring which is surrounded by rubber on all sides. The steel ring is corrosion protected. The seal is dimensionally stable. With its soft surface, the rubber-steel gasket, profile WG does not impose any too great a requirement on the flange surfaces and the orientation of the pipeline. It has proven itself in underground pipeslines without great transverse forces. This seal is also suitable for use with vacuum. Advantages for the user NBR - quality Separate and double storage for seals in drinking water- and gas areas is no longer necessary. A possible confusion is therefore excluded. Stability values of rubber O-rings: Quality: CR (Cholropren Rubber) The chemical and physical properties are similar to those of Peran bunan. The resistance to mineral oil is slightly lower, its resistance to aging, acids and alkalis is excellent. Quality: CSM = Hypalon® (Cholrsulfonated polyethlene) Excellent resistance to ozone, high resistance to the action of acids and alkalis. Aging resistant, good mechanical and physical properties. Quality: EPDM (Ethylen-Propylen-Dien-Rubber) High steam resistance, very good aging and ozone resistance, very good electrical properties. Quality: NBR (Nitrile Butadien Rubber) Resistant to the action of oils, especially hydraulic oils, lubricating greases, petrol and other aliphatic hydrocarbons, good physical values, e.g. high resistance to abrasion and stability, temperature resistance 248 K (-25° C) to 393 K (+120° C), in special cases up to 233 K (-40° C). Quality: NR = Natural rubber Excellent physical properties. Quality: SI = Silicon Excellent temperature, 213 K (-60° C) to 473 K (+200° C), and aging resistance, very good low-temperature resistance. Quality: FCM (Flur Carbon Rubber) Exceptionally resistant to the action of mineral oils, aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, concentrated and dilute acids and alkalis, temperature stability up to 523 K (+ 250° C), high mechanical values, very good aging resistance.
