Brake Service/Repairs KL-0117-2 KA (Pat. e.g. US-Patented 6,966,210) KL-0117-2 KA Brake Pipe Flaring Tool Kit, with Interchangeable Inserts (Ø 4.75mm and Ø 5.25mm), Peeling Tool, Gripping Pliers Suitable for the steel, aluminum and copper brake pipes with a pipe Ø of 4.75mm, as well as for the plastic-coated brake pipes used on VW-Audi, Seat, Škoda vehicles with a brake pipe diameter of 5.25mm, as well as for those used on Opel/Vauxhall having a pipe diameter of 5.14mm. This specially designed tool allows flares to be created according to DIN Standard F on a brake pipe in a vice. It also enables the section repair of a brake pipe to be performed directly on the vehicle (for example after a rear-end collision). No need for removing and reinstalling the power train (engine/gearbox) when this tool is used. The interchangeable clamping jaws with a clamping surface of approximately 65mm ensure the safe retention of the brake pipe without any risk of damaging it. Delivery: Application: • Detach the brake pipe with the pipe cutter. • Peel away the plastic coating to a determined length while deburring the brake pipe at the same time. • Press flare F (acc. to DIN standard) onto brake pipe. • Bend the brake pipe into the correct shape if necessary.
