Quality and sustainability Overview Sustainability and efficiency When expanding our administration building and logistics centre, we have taken into account the current requirements relating to sustainability and efficiency. Both structural and technical measures for heating, ventilation and insulation have been optimally coordinated with each other, including renewable energies. BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) Dörner + Helmer is a certified member of the BSCI. Affiliated companies and their suppliers undertake to comply with a social standard that ensures worldwide protection of workers’ rights, occupational safety, the environment, protection against child labour, forced labour and discrimination, to name but a few. REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) The European chemicals regulation REACH serves to evaluate and authorise chemical substances with the aim of ensuring their safe use. We are very careful to ensure that our deliveries comply with the currently applicable chemical policy regulations of the EU and Germany, particularly the REACH and CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) Regulation. It is important to us that our customers can use Dörner + Helmer products safely and without substances that are harmful to health. PAK (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) The PAK classification describes a highest possible harmlessness for the user when handling materials containing PAK. As a result, we have set new standards in the industry and were pioneers in the PAK 3-compliant use of materials for our pneumatic wheels. Thanks to modern technology, the production and distribution of our products are continuously optimised, and environmental protection and sustainability are implemented to the highest possible degree in all materials and processes.
