TECHNOLOGY IN DETAIL Cascade operation REMKO WKM (PRO) Cascade operation The WKM and WKM Pro heat pumps are designed for use in cascade operation and allow up to 8 units to be integrated hydraulically and in terms of control technology. Depending on the model, this allows heating capacities of 3 to 160 kW and cooling capacities of 3 to 140 kW to be achieved depending on the outside temperature and flexibly adapted to different requirement profiles – from small partial loads to high peak loads. Cascade operation in combination with Smart Control and an optional sound insulation hood offers a scalable, efficient and environmentally friendly heat supply that can also be used optimally in sensitive environments. ■ Modular power configuration Expansion of total power by connecting multiple heat pumps. Huge modulation range! ■ Demand-based operation Gradual activation of the heat pumps ensures high efficiency even in the partial load range. ■ Operational reliability Redundancy through multiple design; failure of individual devices has only a minor impact on overall performance. ■ Integrated heating element Each heat pump is equipped with a 6/9 kW electric heating element. The heating elements are also switched on in stages in cascade operation, thus enabling additional coverage of peak loads or protection in the event of extreme outside temperatures. ■ Sound insulation For installations in densely populated residential areas, a sound insulation hood is available as an option, which significantly reduces noise emissions. ■ Control system Central control coordinates the operation of all heat pumps and heating elements, ensures demand-based activation and even distribution of running times. ■ Areas of application Suitable for apartment buildings, office and administrative buildings, commercial and industrial facilities. Smart Control Integrated as standard and prepared for combination with photovoltaic systems. Your own PV electricity can thus be used directly to operate the heat pump and the integrated heating elements.
