Price group 9 Smart-Control extensions module Ref. no. 960,– € 259103 Feature extensions ■ ■ ■ Control of three additional mixed heating circuits The module enables precise and independent control of three mixed heating circuits. This allows temperature profiles and heating requirements to be individually adjusted, ensuring optimised energy distribution throughout the building. Control of a third heat generator via 0–10 V For buildings generating electricity with a PV system, an external heating element in the buffer or domestic hot water tank can be controlled using a 0–10 V signal. This feature enables fully modulating adjustment of heating energy and maximises self-consumption. As a result, the heat pump is preserved and can largely remain switched off during the summer months. Control of a solar thermal system The expansion module supports the integration and control of a solar thermal system, allowing solar energy to be effectively utilised for hot water production and heating support. This feature enables seamless integration of solar thermal technology, reducing energy consumption further and enhancing system sustainability. ■ Pool heating in summer operation With the integrated pool heating function, the heat pump reliably heats the swimming pool or outdoor pool even during the summer. ■ Switching contacts for heating/cooling The expansion module includes additional switching contacts, enabling flexible switching between heating and cooling modes via centralised control systems. ■ Activation/Blocking for hot water With the activation and blocking function for hot water production, the hot water generation can be controlled precisely, for example, to save energy during periods of low demand or to block hot water production during specific time windows. This is particularly useful in applications where optimal energy use is targeted. ■ Buffer charging function With the integrated buffer charging function, excess heat can be transferred from one buffer or storage tank to another. This function optimises the storage and distribution of heat throughout the system, ensuring that energy reserves are used efficiently and that heat demand coverage is always secured. 345
