4.5 - Glow Plug / Spark Plug (Code 3256820) KL-0132-56 EB Universal Glow Plug Tool Set, in a Foam Insert KL-0132-56 EB 77 pcs. Universally applicable to Diesel engines having either an M8x1 or M10x1 glow plug retaining thread. The ideal tool set for Mercedes (OM639, OM640, OM642, OM651); Fiat, Citroën, Peugeot, IVECO 2.3 JTD/HDI, 3.0 JTD/HDI, as well as Fiat, Alfa, Lancia 1.3 JTD Common Rail Diesel engines (F1A, F1C, F30 DT, 169A1.000, 169A5.000, 188A8.000, 188A9.000, 199A2.000, 199A3.000, 199A9.000, 199B1.000, 199B2.000, 199B4.000, 223A9.000, 263A2.000) and VW-Audi 2.5, 2.7, 3.0 V6 TDI engines. The set contains all the tools required for the accurate drilling out and removal of broken-off and/or stuck/seized glow plugs as well as for re-tapping and cleaning the M8x1 and M10x1 glow plug retaining thread and aperture. It also allows the user to repair a damaged glow plug retaining thread by drilling it up from M8x1 to M10x1 and from M10x1 to M12x1 respectively. Then, the new glow plug fitted with an appropriate threaded sleeve (supplied with the set) can be screwed into the cylinder head. With the aid of the compressed air adaptor, air can be injected into the combustion chamber so as to prevent dirt and swarf from entering the latter when drilling out the glow plug. The long and slim glow plug sockets with joint are designed to ease the removal of deep-seated and hard-to-reach glow plugs and spark plugs.
