COMPRESSED AIR TECHNOLOGY Centrifugal separator/water separator After leaving the compressor, the compressed air contains not only water in the form of water vapor, but also water condensate droplets. These water droplets are formed during the compaction process by the decrease in the storage capacity of the air when the volume is reduced. This water normally settles in the storage tank as the compressed air settles. From there, the condensate is discharged. This removes 99% of the free water in the compressed air while maintaining a continuously low differential pressure.
