Flexible shafts consist of three components that can be combined in different ways: the flexible core (SE), the protective hose (SCH), the handpiece (HA). The flexible core consists of four to ten layers of wire in accordance with DIN 2076, especially for high-speed clockwise rotation. The core coupling is pressed on firmly. After approx. 100 hours of operation, the core of a flexible shaft must be re-lubricated. The protective hose is made of oil-resistant rubber, with a flat steel spiral on the inside and solid rubber on the outside. The connection couplings are pressed on firmly and covered with rubber sleeves for reinforcement. The handpieces are light and handy and cover a wide speed range. In continuous operation, fatigue-free work is possible with low running noise. Interchangeable collets allow a wide variety of tools to be accommodated.
