PFERD fiber grinders are manufactured in accordance with ISO 16057 in form A1 version F under the name ”vulcanized fiber grinder”. For highly aggressive grinding with ultimate removal performance on steel materials, hard and poorly heat-conducting materials and at the same time extremely long service life. Ultimate, constant top performance thanks to the VICTOGRAIN abrasive grain. Grinding additives in the coating achieve a significantly higher removal performance, prevent clogging and result in cooler grinding. VICTOGRAIN products are among the most effective grinding tools in the world. PFERD’s triangular, precision-shaped abrasive grain achieves a uniquely high grinding performance. The abrasive grain edges of the VICTOGRAIN abrasive grain’s triangles, which are the same shape and size, hit the workpiece at an optimal angle. This means that the individual abrasive grain requires very little energy to penetrate the workpiece. In this way, the user benefits from an efficient machining process with rapid work progress, long tool life, less heat introduced into the workpiece and a lower power requirement of the tool drive. The VICTOGRAIN abrasive grains are fixed to the carrier with one side of the triangle. This means they are particularly firmly embedded and, in conjunction with the slim shape, offer an extremely large chip space, making the machining process even more efficient. The structural design of the VICTOGRAIN triangles is also specially adapted. The very small crystals within the triangle offer optimal wear behavior: very sharp cutting edges are always available, but only a necessary minimum of the abrasive grain/triangle breaks away. The combination of these properties offers the user ultimate, constant top performance with cool grinding and an extremely long tool life with uniform surface roughness of the workpiece.
- Use fiber grinders in accordance with ISO 15636 with a backing pad on standard angle grinders.
