Description du produit
PFERD offers a wide range of coated abrasive tools for machining different workpiece geometries and materials. They consist of a carrier material, a base bond and a cover bond to fix the abrasive grains. Depending on the grain size, coated abrasive tools can achieve a high material removal or a very fine surface finish. The carrier materials available differ in their properties such as tear resistance, flexibility and wear. By choosing the appropriate backing, the grinding tool is adapted to the requirements of the intended application: paper is used in the woodworking industry and in trades, e.g. by carpenters, painters and varnishers, fabric is mainly used in metalworking, and vulcanized fiber is very wear-resistant and is used in different thicknesses primarily for the manufacture of fiber sanders. The set contains three fan grinders of the Corundum A 80 design with a shaft diameter of 3 mm in diameters of 10 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm. In fan grinders, the lamellae made of abrasive material on a base are arranged in a fan shape radially around the axis of the tool. Their flexibility means they adapt perfectly to the contours of the workpiece. The abrasive grain is embedded in a synthetic resin bond on the tensile, flexible fabric carrier.
- Reducing the contact pressure and peripheral speed and adding grinding oil reduce tool wear and the temperature load on the workpiece.
- An increase in the removal rate should be achieved by using a coarser grain and not by increasing the contact pressure in order to prevent unnecessary tool wear and temperature load on the workpiece.
- Increasing the cutting speed results in a slightly finer surface. Increasing the contact pressure makes the surface slightly coarser. The softer the material to be machined, the coarser the surface (when using the same grain size).
- For best performance, use a recommended cutting speed of 15-20 m/s. This achieves an ideal compromise between removal rate, surface quality, temperature load on the workpiece and tool wear.
- Use grinding oil suitable for the material to significantly increase the service life and grinding performance of the tools.
