A high-performance drive unit delivers 7,500 watts of power for a high-performance spindle drive that is easy to control with 12 speed steps both clockwise and anticlockwise. Oil pressure lubrication ensures the highest precision and smoothness of the rotating spindle.
All gears are made of hardened chrome-nickel steel, precision ground, particularly durable and smooth running. Extremely hard, precision-ground prismatic guides (> HB 400) carry heavy tool carriages according to requirements. Thanks to a fast motor, it can be moved easily and quickly.
The feed shaft is controlled by an adjustable slip clutch. The solid tailstock is moved by means of a crank drive and has an adjustment device for the quill feed.
