PFERD offers a wide range of coated abrasive tools for machining different workpiece geometries and materials. They consist of a carrier material, a base bond and a cover bond to fix the abrasive grains. Depending on the grain size, coated abrasive tools can achieve a high material removal or a very fine surface finish. The carrier materials available differ in their properties such as tear resistance, flexibility and wear. By choosing the appropriate backing, the grinding tool is adapted to the requirements of the intended application: paper is used in the wood processing industry and in trades, e.g. by carpenters, painters and varnishers, fabric is mainly used in metalworking, and vulcanized fiber is very wear-resistant and is used in different thicknesses primarily for the manufacture of fiber sanders. The set contains ten sanding sheets in the blue fabric version with Corundum A abrasive in various grain sizes. The blue fabric is the cost-effective alternative for normal use when machining painted surfaces on wood and metal. Sheet fabric complies with ISO 21948.
