PCE Videoscope PCE-VE 1500-38209

This digital doscope is the only device in the PCE-VE 1500 series with two cameras. One of them is head -on, the other on the side. Both are very close to each other on the camera head. In addition to each of the cameras, an LED is arranged with which the visibility can be illuminated if necessary. Settings on the endoscope for image display on the display and the lighting of the camera view field are effective for both cameras and both light sources at the same time.

The user can choose at any time whether the digital endoscope indicates the current image of the front camera that indicates the side camera or both side by side on the large display of the touchscreen. The simultaneous display of both cameras clearly makes orientation easier during visual inspection. In addition, it is advantageous, especially in very cramped space, to be able to use both the front and the side camera.

Pictures and videos cannot be taken in parallel with both cameras. In the case of recordings in the viewing mode, in which both cameras can be seen, only the images of the activated camera are saved by the endoscope. If the user has activated image labels, then they only appear on the image of the activated camera. By default, the digital endoscope under the menu item offers watermarks, for example, overlays such as the date and time or the camera drawing as CAM1 or CAM2. The selected labels appear on the activated camera in a small red edge on the edge of the picture. If the other camera is to be activated, this works very easily over the touchscreen with this endoscope. A double tap on their picture is sufficient in the view in which the pictures of both cameras are shown side by side.

The flexible endoscope cable, which is only 3.8 mm thick, is approximately 1.87 meters long from the front edge of the camera head to the rubber coating in the connection area. As a result, this digital doscope can also examine internal surfaces and parts that are only accessible via very narrow openings. The camera head, which is flexible in all directions, has a length of 42 millimeters and a bending radius of 35 mm at 90 degrees bending angle.

Special features of the PCE-VE 1500 series
Each digital endoscope in this series has the same basic device with extensive functions and sensible accessories. The individual models differ only in the different cameras and the lengths and diameter of the camera cable. With function keys, touchscreen and joystick on the base device, the operation of these endoscopes is very comfortable.

The digital endoscope weighs only a little more than two kilograms with the battery and camera unit. The device can be carried without any problems. For longer inserts, depending on the surrounding area, the shoulder strap, a magnetic bracket or a tripod can also be fixed at the attached fastening points. While the endoscope is held with one hand, the joystick and the function keys can be operated on the handle with the same hand. These function keys include the image trigger and the button for regulating the light intensity for the camera vision field. The camera cable can be run with the other hand.

Exchange endoscopic cable with engine
One of the standard peculiarities of these digital doscopes is the engine -based movement of the camera head. That is why the camera, camera cable and engine are constructed as a unity belonging together. This complete camera unit can be easily replaced if necessary. The connection to the basic device from the endoscope can be fixed very easily and resolved. In order to increase the resistance, the cable was enveloped with tungsten mesh and the tip of the camera head was made from a titanium alloy.

Control of the camera head by joystick
In order to grasp the positions that are to be examined with the camera’s point of view, the camera head of the digital endoscopes can be moved with the joystick. The movable camera head can be bent in all directions, in places by more than 180 degrees. The joystick is designed in such a way and placed between the handle and display that it can easily be operated with just one finger.

Touchscreen functions
The endoscope on the seven -inch display shows the current and saved images not only individually. With the image in image function, it also allows the current image to be compared with a saved. As a touchscreen, the monitor also offers very simple and quick access to the menu functions. The diverse functions that the digital endoscope offers to mark details and to place comments on the pictures would hardly be usable without the touchscreen.

The current and stored images can be digitally enlarged on the display. It is sufficient to type twice or pull them apart with two fingers. The enlarged section can be moved on the touchscreen with your finger if necessary. This allows the complete image to be checked directly on the endoscope. On stored images, important details can immediately be colored on the touchscreen, marked with arrows or labeled. These marked images can then be saved under the old name or as additional images.

With the icons for the additional functions, it is possible to use the digital doscope via touchscreen mostly intuitively. With the help of the image in BILD function, for example, the current live image can be compared with a ”frozen” or an image that has been stored earlier. The live image appears as a cutout in the top right. Double tap it becomes a big picture and the older picture changes to the top right.

Interfaces
The endoscope has the following connections for data transmission: USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, Audio, WiFi and a memory card slot for SD cards up to 128 GB. All interfaces are arranged in the base device on the left of the touchscreen under a cover.
