The motorized force-displacement test stand can be coupled and operated in a wide variety of ways with our force gauges, the PCE-DFG series. The motorized test stand lets you make virtually all of your compression and tension applications come true and perform with repeatable accuracy. The use of the motorized test stand offers the operator the most precise equality of test stand and specimen.

The maximum force range of the motorized test stand is 500 kg. The use of the motorized test stand requires a power connection. The feed rate is variably adjustable between 30 mm/min and 230 mm/min. The motorized test stand ensures precise and accurate measurements. The force-displacement measuring stand is compatible with the following device series: PCE-DFG series, PCE-FM series and the PCE-PTR 200.

Wherever the human body reaches its limits regarding force measurement, the motorized force-displacement test stand comes into play. The user of the motorized test stand is obliged to make a hazard analysis. If this shows that the type of application and the samples pose a risk to the user, a safety device may be required - especially for the test frames operated by electric motors.

Tensile stress gauge PCE-DFG N 5K with external measuring cell and USB interface for connection to a PC

The force gauge measures tensile forces as well as compressive forces and this with very high resolution. The tensile force and the compressive force are often determined in the test laboratory, e.g. to determine the yield point, the breakaway force, the force required to actuate a button or switch. The force gauge is supplied with an external measuring cell. Depending on the model, the force gauge can measure up to 10000N. Models for 1000N, 2500N and 5000N are also available. Various eyelets or hooks with M10 or M12 thread can be adapted into the measuring cells. However, own devices with this thread can be mounted to the measuring cell.

The force gauge is equipped with a USB interface. This interface makes it possible to read the measurement data into the PC software. Thus it is possible to create measurement protocols and to save and export them, for example to create force-displacement diagrams. The force gauge has a graphic LCD that displays the measured values numerically and also graphically. Furthermore, the force gauge is protected according to IP54 and can therefore also be used in harsh industrial environments. Likewise, however, tensile and compression tests can also be carried out outdoors in bad weather conditions without any problems.

Various force test stands are available for adaptation to the force gauge. The internal measured value memory and the hooks, extensions and tips included in the scope of delivery round off the performance of this force gauge. You too can rely on proven industrial quality when measuring forces. A special feature of the PCE-DFG N force gauge is that the measuring cells are interchangeable among the models. By entering the sensitivity in mV/V, all measuring cells can thus be used with only one hand-held device.

PCE-DFG FD 300 force-displacement adapter / incl. software

The PCE-DFG FD 300 is a useful extension to the material test stand PCE-MTS 500 in combination with a force gauge (e.g. PCE-DFG N 5K). By means of this extension force-displacement diagrams and curves can be generated. The software included in the scope of delivery offers the user an optimized interface to evaluate diagrams and graphs. Thus, material tests with forces up to 5000 N (500 kg) can be realized. To perform a force-displacement measurement, a tensile test is first performed. In this tensile test, a specimen or the component to be tested is fixed in a test rig by means of clamping devices. This test rig then generates a tensile force which causes the component to elongate. With steadily increasing force, the component is loaded until it finally breaks. The various phases of the tensile test (elastic deformation, yield strength, plastic deformation, tensile strength, elongation at break) can be easily identified by means of a graph. The force-displacement diagram thus provides initial indications of the strength and quality of the tested material. For precise statements, the force-displacement diagram must be normalized, since it is initially still geometry-dependent. To put it simply, a thick specimen tends to crack later than a thin specimen, but this does not in principle allow any statement to be made about the material quality. The force-displacement diagram must therefore be normalized over the cross-sectional area of the specimen, which ultimately turns the force-displacement diagram into a stress-strain diagram....
