PCE Cable length tester PCE-CLT 20

The cable length tester is a powerful and versatile measuring instrument specially designed for the accurate measurement of electrical cables and wires. With an impressive measuring range from 0.1 m to an astonishing 30 km, this device can measure and display cable lengths. As the cable length tester determines the length via the cable resistance, it can also determine the resistance from 0.1 mΩ to 1999.9 Ω. With this measuring principle, it is also necessary to connect the Kelvin clamps to both cable ends.

The temperature monitoring function, which covers an operating range of -5 °C to +50 °C, makes it possible to take into account the influence of temperature fluctuations on the length measurement. The cable length tester supports the display of cable length in different units, including metres (m), kilometres (km) and feet (ft), to meet the different requirements of users and nations.

The implementation of 8 memory locations allows the user to individually configure and store cable types for quick access to frequently used settings. This feature significantly increases the practicality of the device.
By integrating support for copper and aluminium cables, the tester opens up application possibilities in various industrial environments. In addition, the ability to select standard cable types ranging from 0.15 mm² to 240 mm² allows users to configure the tester precisely to meet the specific requirements of their application. The cable length tester is supplied in a transport case and with two test leads for direct use by electricians, in the trade or in many other areas.
