The PCE Instruments waterproof aquarium pH meter is designed to efficiently and accurately record pH (0.00 to 14.0 pH) as well as temperature.

This convenient dual function eliminates the need for a separate thermometer. The user-friendly dual display of the Aquarium pH Meter allows both readings to be taken at a glance. The aquarium pH meter with an electrode integrated into the housing has an internal temperature sensor and automatically performs temperature compensation (-5 to +80 degrees Celsius) for each measurement. The measurement results are then quickly and accurately displayed on the easy-to-read LC display of the aquarium pH meter. If required, the four-digit display of the Aquarium pH Meter switches between Celsius and Fahrenheit at the touch of a button. In order to save the currently measured value, the manufacturer has equipped the aquarium pH meter with a practical data hold function. Minimum and maximum values can be recalled at any time at the touch of a button using the data record function. The aquarium pH meter has a data logger and can store a maximum of 100 data records. To conserve battery power, the aquarium pH meter has an automatic switch-off function: when not in use, the meter switches off after ten minutes.

The ideal ambient temperature for measuring the pH value is between 15 and 35 degrees Celsius; the aquarium pH meter can be used in the temperature range between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The aquarium pH meter is delivered already calibrated, but can be recalibrated at any time if required. This is useful to ensure the highest possible accuracy over the entire period of use. Recalibration should be performed at certain intervals or after changing the pH electrode. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the electrode of the aquarium pH meter with distilled water after each measurement. Accessories for Aquarium pH Meter
Additional electrodes are available from PCE Instruments to complement the Aquarium pH Meter. The pH electrode must be kept moist to provide accurate measurement results over a long period of time. The proper storage solution is available from PCE Instruments. pH electrodes drift over time, this can cause measurement errors. To ensure high accuracy, the aquarium pH meter should be calibrated regularly with the calibration solution available from PCE Instruments (pH 4.01 and pH 7.01). The manufacturer also offers the CAL-PCE-PH ISO calibration certificate for pH meters. Calibration certificates are issued specifically for customers, and annual recalibration can also be performed through PCE Instruments. For optimal cleaning of the aquarium pH meter, PCE-GCS-500 pepsin/hydrochloric acid cleaning solution (500ml) is available. For optimal protection of the aquarium pH meter and accessories during transport and storage, the manufacturer advises the use of the separately available case with hard foam insert.
