The flow moulding process or flow drilling is used to produce pull-throughs in thin-walled metallic materials. The flow drill produces a bushing from the existing metallic mother material by forming. This material extension increases the number of load-bearing threads by a factor of three to five. The material is not machined but used to produce load-bearing screw connections. The advantages of the flow moulding technique are the low costs per thread and the resulting high-quality, resilient connections. No special equipment is required and the entry costs are low. External material is not required for flow moulding. Overall, the production steps are reduced. Chip disposal is eliminated.
Flow forming capacity with 3 mm sheet thickness: 18 mm. Features: Infinitely variable speed control and drilling depth stop with fine adjustment. Emergency stop button, undervoltage release, drilling protection with electrical fuse and thermal overload protection for the safety of man and machine. The table height is adjusted via a solid gear rack. Supplied with connection cable (1.5 m) and CEE plug.
