Application notes:
The use of Sonotec sound insulation cork is flexible and requires no further qualification for use. It can be used as a separating layer between concrete floors and wooden stud frames and cover panels. Sonotec sound insulation cork is also used as a separating layer between interior and exterior walls in solid timber construction and as a support for purlins in roofs and many other areas where sound insulation is required. It is attached to the timber frame with staples or laid on the floor. The Eurotec Hammer Tacker in combination with the Hammer Tacker staples from 10 mm in length is recommended for fastening. Due to the small diameter of the staples, they are not to be regarded as sound bridges. A structural engineer or structural engineer should be consulted to determine the permissible loads.
