Pulling techniques for inner bearing races (Choose the appropriate pulling technique) Technique 1 The problem: Technique 2 Inner bearing race Wheel hub When using technique 1, the collet chuck engages behind the inner bearing race. When using technique 2, the collet chuck engages the groove/recess of the inner bearing race. Identify the inner bearing race Ø Inner bearing race Wheel hub Wheel hub Determine suitable collet chuck. For this, measure the inner bearing race Ø on the area to be clamped. 2. Place the pulling device on the inner bearing race and close the collet chuck. 3. Remove the inner bearing race. Close the collet chuck by tightening the clamping nut. Remove the inner bearing race from the wheel hub by screwing in the pressure spindle.
