It has a high adhesive strength, especially on stainless steel. It is liquid, sprayable, spreadable (can be applied with a brush), self-levelling, retains residual elasticity, is ceramic-filled and chemical-resistant. WEICON Food Grade is a flowable 2-component epoxy resin system with a high content of fine mineral fillers. The coating system has been approved by the Ruhr District Institute of Hygiene for contact with aqueous and fatty foodstuffs up to 70 °C. It is used both to protect surfaces against wear and corrosion and as an adhesive. Owing to its long pot life, WEICON WL can be used for applications with higher ambient temperatures or for larger surfaces. Due to the high flowability of WEICON WL, it is important to ensure a low layer thickness and to observe the layer sequence time. WEICON WL is well suited for a system build-up in combination with other Plastic Metal types. The coating is easy to apply and adheres to a wide variety of surfaces even under mechanical stress. It is used to protect surfaces against wear and corrosion. By combining high-strength particles with a viscoplastic polymer matrix, the system offers a high level of wear protection. It has good chemical resistance and high abrasion resistance. The coating adheres very well even under vibration and elongation on a wide variety of surfaces and does not drip. The wear protection system is free of tar and solvents and cures almost without shrinkage. Anti-Static is suitable for coating a wide variety of parts, such as rollers, pumps, chutes, conveyors, lifting screws, separators, hoppers, propellers, fans, and heat exchangers. WEICON Anti-Stick is a liquid, grey 2-component epoxy resin system with mineral fillers for the protection of heavily stressed surfaces against aggressive chemicals and corrosion. It was specially developed for application with low-pressure equipment. In addition to the mineral fillers, Anti-Stick contains special additives that create an anti-stick effect and thus prevent flour, dust or suspended particles, for example, from sticking. The epoxy resin system has good chemical and thermal resistance up to +120 °C. It is free from solvents and cures with virtually no shrinkage.
