We recommend cleaning each surface thoroughly with WEICON Surface Cleaner before bonding. Depending on the degree of soiling, further cleaning steps should be carried out beforehand. In order to maintain the maximum performance and process reliability of a bond, it may be advisable to treat the surface further after cleaning. This can be done mechanically (by grinding or sandblasting), chemically (by primer or adhesive cleaner) or highly energetically (flame treatment, corona or plasma). Combinations of these processes are also possible.
