TECHNICAL BASICS CLASSES * The planning basis for your individual safety system is provided by the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) in DGUV information 201-056. Depending on the access to the area with a risk of falling, the group of people and the maintenance interval, a recommendation is made for the minimum against falling. For a better overview, the recommendations are summarised in classes (ASK 1-4). The higher the equipment class, the larger the group of persons included. According to the German Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG) and DGUV Information 201-056, collective protective systems (e.g. guardrails) have priority. If this obstacle-free space is not available even at greater fall heights - e.g. due to canopies, balconies or adjacent lower roof surfaces - a restraint system must be installed. Only from an fall height of approx. 6.3 m can a fall with impact on the ground be ruled is impossible. For thi case a fall arrest system can be used.
