The intuitive touchscreen guides the user simply and unerringly to the right drawer, where the item they are looking for is safely stored. However, anyone who cannot identify themselves is denied access. »The centerpiece of the new cabinet system is its software«, explains Daniel Vogt, Head of Design and Development at Bedrunka + Hirth. Whether it‘s a multilingual user interface that allows language selection in German, English and French, or user identification by means of a PIN code and RFID chip - the company from the Black Forest equips its high-quality cabinet system with technology that offers real added value. The user database records who has been granted access and when, and allows to limit access in time. Furthermore the local administrator can manage user rights centrally, connect additional cabinets or remove them again. The touchscreen is located on the top edge of the cabinet. The electromechanically locked drawers can be accessed in three steps. First, the system opens the drawers to which the user has access by just a small gap. Tapping the desired drawer opens it further, while the other drawers remain in provision mode. 16 In the third step, the desired drawer can be pulled out fully (full pull-out 100%). All others remain locked, „for safety reasons,“ explains Vogt, as the load capacity of the individual drawers is up to 100 kg. After removal, the system ensures that the retracted drawer is slowed down, gently retracted, closed and returned to staging mode. The HiPerCab® is available as Medium and Premium versions or as extension module, each in widths of 705 and 1.005 mm and heights of 1.019 and 1.219 mm. Bedrunka + Hirth offers the cabinet system with the same divider materials as the classic drawer cabinet. This also applies to other features of the cabinet system „made in Germany“, such as the frame-reinforced, very stable housing, the welded sheet steel construction and the configurable front heights. As usual, the front of the cabinets can be individually colored, for example to match the user‘s corporate design.
