As in a construction kit, brush bodies, fill arrangements, fill densities and a variety of fill materials can be selected and may even be combined with each other. Seven standardized body diameters with the same segment width of 100 mm are available, each of which can be provided with high, medium or loose fill density. (See fill densities on page 206). Individual brush segments can be slid onto a shaft one behind the other. The segments are then secured on both sides of the shaft by a set collar. Replacing the Multi-Zack segments is extremely simple and can be carried out in a very short time, keeping machine and plant downtimes to a minimum. All that is required is to loosen a set collar and replace all or just some of the segments. The Multi-Zack segments are positioned and secured on the shaft with the appropriate Multi-Zack adjusting rings. The toothing ensures the drive and the torque transmission. 204 osborn.com Thanks to the modular system with segment widths of 100 mm, any number of segments can be mounted on one shaft. The advantage is that these can be shipped and also stored in a spacesaving and thus cost-effective manner and not in one piece as is the case with roller brushes.
