Axle Repair Tools 2.2 Support Joints, Bearings and Bushings KL-1010-Series Pulling Devices for HGV Silentblocs Field of Application: (German Utility Model) Silentblocs: split-type Spring eye Spring bracket solid-type Anti-roll bar The replacement of split-type silentblocs is still a challenging task for the automotive mechanic as this type of silentbloc not only is difficult to remove but also needs to be installed under high preload conditions. Based on the tried and tested GEDORE Automotive Modular System, the pulling devices are each composed of a set of sleeves and the corresponding drive tool kit. The GEDORE Automotive pulling devices for HGV silentblocs of the KL-1010-Series allow for the quick, professional and safe removal and replacement of split-type silentblocs as found on stabilizers, thrust rods, leaf spring eyes, spring brackets and other axle suspension components. The pulling devices are designed to be used in conjunction with a hydraulic pump such as the KL-0215-35 M25 (with hose, coupling, adaptor and pressure gauge included). The big advantage of the unique GEDORE Automotive Modular System is that it requires substantially fewer single parts for more diameters and applications than conventional silentbloc tools (==> high cost savings). The removal and installation of the silentblocs can be carried out at a work bench or in situ on the vehicle if space conditions allow. Advantages: • Substantial time and cost savings • Tools are easy to use. • The KL-0040-2500 (17t) hydraulic cylinder can universally be used on other GEDORE Automotive tools. Application example / procedure: 2. Silentbloc Removal: Assemble/mount pulling device as shown below and extract silentbloc by operating the hydraulic pump. 1. Silentbloc Installation ==> pre-tensioning the new silentbloc: Assemble/mount pulling device and insert new silentbloc into conical sleeve. Silentbloc will be pre-tensioned via the sleeve inner cone.
