The bolts are used to secure the subframe against further dropping when the latter needs to be lowered. Necessary when performing work on the engine, e.g. on starter motors, turbochargers etc. Once the subframe has been supported (for example by means of a transmission jack) the original bolts can be replaced with our KL-0379-10 - bolts for subframe. This will enable the safe and correct lowering of the subframe by approx. 20cm.
