Slide bear i ngs Slide bearings are robust, largely maintenance free, insensitive to impacts and even corrosion-resistant, depending on the material. The slide bearing is mainly used in furniture and apparatus castors that are moved at low speeds over short distances. Regular greasing is required for cast wheels with slide bearings. Roll er bear i ngs Roller bearings are also largely maintenance free, insensitive to impacts, and robust. They are distinguished by a relatively low rolling resistance and high load-bearing capacity.
