BMI guarantees compliance with the European Measuring Instruments Directive – MID, for compliance with the predefined tolerance/error limits. (see page 28) BMI pocket measuring tapes are available in accuracy classes I and II. Reference conditions These classes comply with an ambient temperature of 20 °C CE Certification Measuring devices with metric divisions are usually CE certified and are therefore considered initially calibrated. A declaration of conformity replaces the previously used calibration certificate. Declaration of Conformity A declaration of conformity is issued for all long measuring tapes with a metric graduation. The declaration confirms the compliance of the tolerance/error guidelines according to the European Measuring Instruments Directive known as MID. Test Certificate* A test certificate confirms that the corresponding tested device complies with the requirements of the European Measuring Instruments Directive – MID. The tested device has an ID number and is assigned to the test certificate. This certificate can be issued with or without a factory calibration certificate. Article N°. 360 PB Factory Calibration Certificate* The calibration certificate specifies actual deviations of the tape measure at defined measuring points. The tape measure bears an identification number and can thus be assigned to the calibration certificate. Article N°. 360 KA 010 As standard, 10 measuring points are evenly distributed over the length. Customers may also request other measuring points.
