BMI guarantees compliance with the European Measuring Instruments Directive – MID, for comliance with the predefined tolerances. BMI measuring devices are available in the accuracy classes I, II and III. CE Certification Measuring devices with metric divisions are usually CE certified and are therefore considered initially calibrated. A declaration of conformity replaces the previously used calibration certificate. Declaration of Conformity A declaration of conformity is issued for all long measuring tapes with a metric graduation. The declaration confirms the compliance of the tolerance/error guidelines according to the European Measuring Instruments Directive known as MID. Test Certificate* A test certificate confirms that the corresponding tested device complies with the requirements of the European Measuring Instruments Directive – MID. The tested device has an ID number and is assigned to the test certificate. This certificate can be issued with or without a factory calibration. Factory Calibration Certificate* The calibration certificate indicates deviations of the tape measure at specified measuring points. The device has an ID number that is assigned to the factory calibration certificate. * Declaration of Conformity and Factory Calibration Certificate are valid for 2 years. 28 Refer to our General Terms of Payment and Delivery
