MULTI-PURPOSE TOOLS Random orbital, orbital, and in-line sanders are used throughout the stages of vehicle repair and restoration from prep work in the body shop to finish work before buffing in the paint shop. The wide range of Dynabrade sanders offered for applications throughout the shop allow technicians to always have the right sander for the job. Cutting through layers of clear, paint and primer or leveling body filler can be performed faster and with 24 fewer abrasives when the tool and abrasive are matched to the size and severity of the application. Optimizing these applications can call for an aggressive 3/8" (10 mm) orbit palm sander or even a “Mudhog” (gear-driven sander) with a coarse grit abrasive to move vehicles more quickly to the paint booth. Tools like the DynaLocke® provide technicians with a single tool capable of performing like a disc sander and a dual action in multiple different tasks by switching between rotary and random orbital sanding action. Jitterbug, or power block, sanders are ideal when sanding corners or leveling large surface like a hood or roof top.
